PRICELESS: Animated segments for their film about voting reform
What they asked us to do...
Steve Cowan and Barry Scheinberg of Habitat Media were making a feature documentary about the messed up voting system in this country. They wanted to create a fictionalized story of what happens to somebody who decides to run for office and actually gets elected!
What we did...
Working within the budget parameters available, Alligator Planet helped them plan, design, record, and animate four sequences plotting the trials of fictional Henry Meeker from his first impulse to run for office to his final disillusionment as a member of congress.
Our results...
With Catherine Margerin designing and drawing Henry, his wife Sybil, all related characters as well as their environments, we worked with the talented Cath Lloyd to add animation to a soundtrack recorded and cut by Eli Noyes. Composited in Hi Def with Final Cut Pro, the segments were delivered to Habitat for inclusion in their documentary. All agreed that the segments were hilarious and, given how our government works, pathetic too.
